The New York Yankees once again reinforced the bullpen.

Yahoo Sports reported on Monday (Korea time) that the Yankees traded catcher Jose Trevino (32) to the Cincinnati Reds and acquired right-handed bullpen Fernando Cruz (34). Trevino is a defensive back who took over the Gold Glove of American League catcher in 2022. Cincinnati has sought a veteran catcher who will lead the young pitching staff with Tyler Stevenson.

Crews is the flagship fireballer's bullpen in the league. He throws fiery fastballs with his strong physique (1m88cm tall, 107kg weight). According to the MLB statistics site Baseball Servant, Crews' average fastball speed is 94.6 miles (152.2km/h). He pitched in 69 games (three starts) for this season, recording three wins, eight losses and 23 holds with an ERA of 4.86 (66 2/3 innings). He has 14.7 strikeouts per nine innings. He struck out 95 in 66 games (60 2/3 innings) in which he pitched as a bullpen, ranking 10th overall in the Major League Baseball (105th).  스포츠토토

The Yankees acquired Cruz after Devin Williams, one of the top finishers, in a trade to reinforce the bullpen. Williams is a "K-machine" with 14.3 strikeouts per nine innings in the MLB. If Luke Weaver (11 strikeouts per nine innings in the 2024 season) helps the team, the team boasts the bullpen pitcher's depth that is second to none.
